FINALLY!!!!!!!

2 weeks later I finally have my car back again. I had to inch it back and forth to turn it ON THE SPOT (you can do that with a Honda Fit, really – you can) and by removing 2 feet of snow from the hood, windshield, and top of the car. FREEDOM…..cabin fever will finally be gone. So far the snow on the driveway was too high for my little fit to make it anyway – but now it makes it and so I was finally able to free it. I AM SO HAPPY!

The snow is still falling

Not as much as we had earlier, but snow nonetheless. I can’t even tell you how many inches we have, because we live in the snow-hole – meaning, when everybody around us seems to have gotten 1 or 2 inches, our backyard shows 5 to 6 inches. Crazy. It is so pretty outside. I went to get gasoline and tried to get the snowblower started but – the damn thing wouldn’t start. Oh well. I figured I’d have fun cleaning out driveway — all 300 feet of it — but I guess I will have to do that tomorrow. Wonder why it wouldn’t start.

I went to Milford earlier to get milk and bread and the gasoline – and 113 was HORRIBLE – it didn’t look as if ANY road crews had been there and from the time I left my house until I got back here 2 hours later, I did not see even ONE truck out clearing Route 113 – NOT EVEN ONE. Ridiculous, don’t you think?

Let it snow again?

It’s been so cold so if we get snow, at least the cold will be worth it!

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR ACCOMACK COUNTY FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY AT 1 AM; AND FOR DORCHESTER, SOMERSET, WICOMICO, AND WORCESTER COUNTIES FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT UNTIL 1 AM SUNDAY. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY WILL ALSO BE IN EFFECT FOR SUSSEX, TALBOT, AND CAROLINE COUNTIES FROM 7AM-MIDNIGHT SATURDAY. A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS THAT HEAVY SNOW IS EXPECTED TO MAKE TRAVEL VERY DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY WITHIN THE WARNING AREA. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS PERIODS OF SNOW COULD CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES…STAY TUNED TO WBOC OR LOG ONTO WBOC.COM FOR FURTHER UPDATES.

I hope the snow makes it to Sussex – though it looks like it will be moslty south of us. I have yet to build a snow-woman this year!
